IT’S A JUNGLE OUT THERE. NOW LET’S BRING IT INSIDE.
We’re currently coveting deep, dark botanical-inspired greens.
From Pine to Palm to Forest, we’re head over heels with them all. There is something that feels so easy, yet sophisticated about these rich hues. And they get even better when you introduce interesting textures.
A lush emerald velvet is irresistible to the touch. Glossy green handmade tiles reflect light beautifully. Even the contrast of smooth and spikes of an aloe plant makes for a new take on a classic colour.
Another great thing about green? It gets along so well with other natural elements. A bit of beautiful timber here. Some gorgeous rattan there. A little lived-in leather. It all works and works oh-so-well!
Green is a colour that is as versatile as it is verdant. You can easily incorporate it into your interiors in so many different ways.
Here are a few suggestions to take it one step further than the humble houseplant:
Emulate Arent & Pyke’s elegant Macmasters Beach House by painting select walls in a tried and true hunter green.
Or go a bit bolder and add South Africa-based design studio, Lemon’s Botany wallpaper to your walls.
And, if you’re not quite ready to commit to a whole green sofa, a velvet cushion in a contemporary rattan chair is an excellent way to add a jungle-y touch to your space.
